Long, long time ago a fiddle player, Papa John Creech played with Jefferson Airplane.  That's when Jourma and Paul were still playing trippy stuff.

This song kind sounds like that.
Another wonderful Radio Paradise find!  Incredible virtuosity throughout.  Upon hearing this I'm giving it a 9 at first blush!
Quite unique, but lovely!
GREAT!!! I am amazed that I never heard of him before, he has worked with some Great people!  Thanx RP!
Nice song to listen to under a full moon
Interesting contrast in this song between the lyrical background and the blaring horn. It kinda bugs me and I kinda like it at the very same time. Once again, RP stretches my musical boundaries.
Thank you so much RP. Jan Garbarek playing with L. Shankar, in a very creative fusion album. ECM Records. I was just thinking about uploading this very song. Proves that you will hear things on RP that will surprise, and educate you. A full 10!
Back in the day, I had a D&D character, half-orc fighter. His name was Shankar. I don't think he would have cared for this sound, and I don't either... :P
Great. Shankar on the PG "Secret World Tour" album/video are not to be missed.

I saw Shankar playing with Peter Gabriel and Sinead O'connor....He is an INCREDIBLE musician with never heard before singing...ultra tones voice
Beautiful, meditative and joyful. The saxophonist is a MONSTER with a big, fat sound and very good articulation. :D
Beautiful. Unusual. Interesting. I am surprised that it is not rated better.
I dig this too...
Well, it's different, I'll give you that -- and these days, just doing something out of the ordinary is quite a feat. I think I like it.
Cankar?
sorry, I had to hit the mute button

listening to this in the background I had to come in to say how much I really liked this!
I agree! This deserves more than a meagre 4.8 (that's less than Enigma!!!!).
