Let the sky fall
Let the sea sink
Let the earth shake
Let the sun blink
Let the universe
Go spinning free
If my darling
Ever leaves me

Let the air freeze
Let the moon cry
Let the stars go out
Let the world die
Let the eyes go blind
Let the grass turn blue
If I ever
Think of leaving you

Let our love be
With our minds free
Let our hearts beat
Let our eyes see
Let the universe
Share our love
Let me be
What you're thinking of

Nice
Morphine-sounding
Okay; thanks for sending me back to Bellevue Bill.  That song was a direct flight and a flashback non pareil.

Use to have these discussions driving a 1965 Impala with no heat in Feb...but would add another 10 guitarists to the list.
Thank you William! A sleeper album...every cut is a 10.

Never heard it.
It bangs! A 9 for me.
Thanks RP!

WTF? I guess you don't realize that Morphine was a combo or trio at the most. They've never had a guitarist.

Morphine =
Drummer + Bass/Vocal
or
Drummer + Bass/Vocal + Sax

That's it.
Nice bright sunny day here in the Duke City and we're loving this very cool song to start the morning. Thanks RP!
One of the smoothest, hippest bass lines in all of Rock and Roll.

Guter Song. Aber das Gitarrensolo erinnert doch sehr stark an "Oh, sweet nuthin'" von Velvet Underground.

Du meinst "inspiriert", aber deswegen nicht schlechter, oder?
I very much appreciate the song structure, careful production, and respectful to the performances mixing.
Which brings me to the performances and song craftmanship, masterful.

I was at a Ten Years After concert at the ballroom on the Ocean Park Pier in the late 60's. Nice to hear them on RP!

Had a '68 Dodge Dart with that same engine. One of the best engines ever. INDESTRUCTIBLE and surprisingly fast. Beat my buddies Mach 1 once with a rolling start on Oakland Park Blvd at 2 am.  He still wont admit it.
This is why I patronize RP. Thanks RP team!
Both Albums - A Space in Time & Stonehenge are definite classics...A total trip listing to either of these albums....Thanks for playing & Happy Listening,
When did Morphine get a guitar?

Ten Years After was 1st!  Maybe, Mark was a fan. I love both bands!

Funny! I had a Trans Am with two 8 track tapes, Al Kooper's Blues Project and a lesser known Allman Brothers album, the one that contained "It Ain't Over Yet." That might have actually been the album's name too.
Sounds like Mark Sandman of Morphine. Cool song.
Good god, there's no article on Wikipedia at all for "Let The Sky Fall", but there articles for two other Ten Years After songs.

And "Let The Sky Fall" has a redirect to the Adele song Skyfall.  {#Snooty}

This aggression will not stand, man.
I remember a red guitar with a peace symbol on it.

owned the record and am ashamed to say I didn't recognize Alvin Lee in The Concert for George...blame on the times?
Saw them live at the Marquee club on Wardour Street in London's Soho district. John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers opened which is ironic since TYA were the new kids on the block.

Alvin Lee's guitar pyrotechnics gave them top billing. They did not disappoint. Took the roof off the place with "I'm Going Home".

Gravadora: Chrysalis
I love Alvin Lee and Ten Years After. What a great guitarist he was (e.g. the solo on "Help me" live). Definitely underrated and I'm not sure why.

I have very fond memories of a concert  back in 1983 in Basel. I think they were back together for a tour and the guys were in a great mood and enjoyed playing. The venue was in a small football stadium and after the concert they signed autographs. They were relaxed and exchanged a few words with the fans before signing. Still have that double-album.

One of the all-time great classic rock albums that blew everyone away when it came out. I've always loved this tune.  My first R&R band in 1972 covered Baby Won't You Let Me Rock & Roll You (first set opener) and One of These Days.  Great stuff!
Love this album! Miss you, Alvin.
Feeling nostalgic.

Head banging at it's finest back in the day...oh, I mean today. Twirlin' in the kitchen! {#Daisy} Good, good stuff.
At their peak as a band and sound even though, at least, Alvin Lee disparaged "I'd Love to Change the World" as a "pop song". On the other hand, I remember his name and music after he's shuffled-off his mortal coil because of that song.

Looking at Wikipedia and it seems that “Between 1968 and 1973,Ten Years After scored eight Top 40 albums on the UK”. I hadn’t realised how big they were back in the day!

from Sonny Landreth to Ten Years After,
if there is a connecting vibe Bill will find it

I suddenly heard Velvet Underground's Oh Sweet Nothing in the guitar solo, and figured that Lou must have been listening to TYA.  But Loaded was released in 1970, a Space in Time in 1971, so I guess it was the other around (?).
Perfection!
ALVIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wonderfull stuff and watt is no doubt one of their best efforts !

It always seemed to me like he modified the riff he had worked out for "Good Morning, Little Schoolgirl" (a cover from a few years earlier) for this tune - and made it a little more mellow - good tune.

One of the less acknowledged benefits of listening to Radio Paradise is that you often hear music that you dismissed during the foolishness of youth. Over the years I have pulled several records/DVD’s from my collection that I didn’t get back in the day.

If only I could have a second chance at other aspect of my life that I got wrong as a young man!

Oh yeah, from back in time when musicians actually had technique, variety and talent. Cricklewood Green.
