Knock knock knock
My house is always open
Why shield myself with
Quills and feints and lies
I can put on quite a show
But inside I'm broken
Porcupine
Porcupine

Here it comes again

Please don't stop
You'll get past my defenses
My body armour's plated over time
I got away with it once
But I soon became addicted
Porcupine
Porcupine

At the edge of the world
Leave my things by the door
I surrender control
Diving into the fall

Here it comes again
Here it comes again
Here it comes again

On my back's the weight
Of my offenses
You're a skunk and
I'm a porcupine
Our weaponary's evolved
From the heightened senses
Porcupine
Porcupine

At the edge of the world
Leave my things by the door
I surrender control
Diving into the fall

Here it comes again
Here it comes again
Here it comes again

  agreed!
The cover cat is a British Shorthair, this gray colour often referred to as a British Blue. Despite the photo, which has been ‘adjusted’ the breed is marvellous. Intelligent and well mannered (belies the British association, I know…), they are our favourite cat breed of all time. They are prone to congenital heart problems though. This may lead to owner heartbreak when they pass. If the reader is a cat lover I heartily recommend this breed. Splendid little companions. 🥰
Kudos for being able to call a song Porcupine
Goodbye Horses

That's minus 7 for the cat?
Cats are scary.

I have loved them from the Stutter on.
Looks like a mean version of the feral cat that lurks our neighborhood, Norton
Wonderful song and great band.       :o)         Connecticut
Abby with disco ball eyes!  cute tune
one of my all-time favourite bands.
Too much Midnight Oil for me to enjoy.
Glad my cat doesn't look like that!

How do porcupines have sex? Very, very carefully ;-)

What's the difference between a Porsche and a porcupine? With a porcupine, the pricks are on the outside.

I'll get me spines...

Jon Stewart, open-mouthed in shock or pain

Um, I'm not sure Jon's done with them yet...

cute song       but the cat! looks like a pet from the past, my Abby and her son Kublah, she was the sweetest and Kubbie got a scar across his nose as a kitten, then grew into this terrific sized bundle of muscled soft grey fur. Loved them both, song is ok

Anyone familiar with the whole album?  Worth picking up?

That would be a fantastic show... if you could get Echo in their prime.

As for this song, it's a great song. I actually thought it was Alpinestars as someone below wrote.
This is excellent. I missed this album somehow....once again thanks RP!

Nice sound. Reminds me of Alpinestars' "Burning Up."
I like it.  I knew it was James from the voice.  I knew it wasn't from Laid or Pleased to Meet You.  Will definitely have to give this album I didn't know about a go.
