Skies are open crying, please don't believe her
'Cause she'll tell you lies and then say it doesn't matter
And you're pleased to see her calling them non-believers
But maybe she loves you and I'm just a preacher
Those burning skies and all who don't believe her
Non-believers, no
Don't believe her, no
All that we are, all that we need
They're different things
Oh, maybe what we are and what we need
They're different things
Do you realize again, you chased an idea
Healed an earth behind some broken creature
Maybe she loves you and I'm just a preacher
Non-believers crying don't believe her
Don't believe her, no
Don't believe her, no
All that we are, all that we need
They're different things
Oh, maybe what we are and what we need
They're different things
Give you my all and you're taking my everything
All that we are, all that we need
They're different things
Oh, maybe what we are and what we need
They're different things
All that we are, all that we need
They're different things
Oh, maybe what we are and what we need
They're different things
All that we are, that we need
All what we are, what we need
I pre-ordered this CD, and it arrived shortly before I was due to have an MRI scan. When the tech asked of I had brought and I gave him this! I wad 69 at the time and he was surprised not only that I knew who they were, but also had the album as it had not been officially released. Coolness points earned! Anyway, I really love Hannah's voice.
Hope you are still doing well and as cool as ever, Sid.
So home town boy.... how are they live?
I saw them in Sydney about 3 years ago, in the before-times. The show felt a bit detached, almost distant, but in a strange way it added to the atmosphere and that (maybe unintended) "minimalism" worked as a perfect frame for Hanna's voice. Nothing distracted from it and although she came out a bit shy, the majesty of her singing is a miracle of nature and craft. So yes, it was good....

Hers is one of the best live voices I've heard. She must have perfect pitch I think - her tuning is unnaturally good.
Hannah Reid has one of the most enchanting, hauntingly fabulous voices in Music! And their songs are amazing. I'm excited for them!
But fair warning to anyone who plays the entire album and really focuses on the songs: Strap in! It's an achingly beautiful, very painful ride.
This song, like Hannah Reid, is hauntingly beautiful... nice use of the auto tune as well.
That's not auto tune but vocoder.
But anyhow, this song is stellar and her singing... magical.
This song grows on my more with each listening.
Grows on your what?
Live, her voice is impeccable - beyond expectations. Saw their Nottingham gig a couple of years back a longing for them (and any live music...) to return.
Osam Idea
I love how Bill follows up a brilliant song (Cold Little Heart) whose comments are dominated by someone complaining about English grammar, with a luscious tune from Hannah Reid & London Grammar. This is no I-pod-on-a-shuffle station, nothing but hand-crafted pairings & segues here.
That's one of the reasons why Bill is a master.
My thought also! Or, remotely coincidental....

Excise me, but I am trying to get some work done here, and I am unable to stop watching this thing. Maybe it will go away when the song ends...

Agreed! No down votes...

*Doh*
Nice to hear from our Nott'nam Jury again.
