You live for a thrill, you die for a dream
And when it comes around
You lay your money down (Ooh)
You got a love that's a real long shot
Breaking the bank for your new weak spot
When she comes around
You lay your money down
No one else for you to blame
But when you play that losing game
It ain't over (Ooh)
So try to ease your worried mind
Dreams come true from time to time
It ain't over (Ooh)
What are the odds if you let them know?
Win or lose, it's gonna take your soul
And you can't turn around
You've laid your money down
One up your sleeve might get you two in the chest
Hurt in your heart but they don't know that
And when she comes around
You lay your money down
No one else for you to blame
But when you play that losing game
It ain't over (Ooh)
So try to ease your worried mind
Dreams come true from time to time
It ain't over (Ooh)

I have been thinking the same thing. The song is Show Down (Raining All Over the World).
awesome! thanks! was that from Xanadu's soundtrack?
when i hear the It Ain't Over part, i go back to a part of an ELO song (same notes) and it's driving me crazy...can't think of the song. maybe "All Over The World..." or something like that...

It's a vaguely similar, four-note phrase in an otherwise entirely different song from "All Over The World". Hardly "cribbing" I think; "homage" - perhaps.
Years hence, this comment will seem so very meritless. Who cares about first plays and release dates? It's not that interesting or meaningful. I'd rather read comments that teach me something of the artist or the song...or heck, just an interesting story about being drunk on a boat listening to this track as the sun sets...
God forbid someone should express joy and not be concerned if you or anyone else finds it meaningful.
17 plays in 30 days is just way too much. Sorry.
I really enjoy the Black Keys and this track is no exception. What disturbs me is the constant earworms I get from them, like this one from ELO. Is it homage or cribbing? ...

I can't believe they're playing the Troubadour in Los Angeles on May 11.
I know right. Usually, they only book really good bands.
Whoa! Released a Week from Today! RP with the sneak peek!

Thanks for being 'early' on this track. Not my streaming service, but if I had a magic wand, I'd add more 'new' music to RP. Just the good stuff, tho.
And what is your definition of "good stuff.?"
Sorry, don't care for your autocratic rambling...
