As we age, 'grow up',  we count the wishes that have fallen.  At some point we lose count and succumb to the reality of the world in which we live...seemingly becoming 'adults'
Boy, that sure sounds like Nina Gordon on vocals.

Oatmeal is good for you, too! {#High-five}

That's true.  I know nothing about this band but it's an enjoyable tune.

Listen to 'Digging in the Dirt" by Peter Gabriel then listen to this song....hmmmmmm
somebody needs to pay homage(or royalties).Nothing wrong with borrowing, but this one is pretty blatent.
Heard these guys first on RP in '04.  Great indie effort IMO! The artists even sent me a free copy of their CD.

There's a joke about oatmeal that is just dying to be made.
Very nice!
I seriously thought this was Sinaed OConner.

I agree, but for me, this is awful. I usually like this kind of stuff....this is just boring. +1

So, I don't have much of a reaction one way or another to this kind of thing; I'm interested to know what provokes such a strong reaction — seriously, I'm interested; educate me.

To my ears, it's mildly (very mildly, actually) pleasant elevator music.  Don't hate it, don't love it.
I like their sound, would like to hear more.

I love it that RP plays unknown or newer artists! Never heard of these guys, but it's a nice bit of pleasantry!

Nice rythmic vibe and great vocals---I bought this track and I'm lovin it...great travel tune
All; the irritating Sarah McMlachlan tricks without the big voice to make them forgivable enough to tolerate.

Thanks for the links Scott. I just downloaded and played my copies of Wishes and Little Lights. Nice! Windows Media Player says both of these tracks are recorded at 160 Kb/sec. Why then does the bass sound so bad? Overdriven microphones or amplifiers maybe? Not to quibble with getting free music though! (Turning down the 31 Hz and 62 Hz sliders on Media Player helped some on Wishes - but not on Little Lights.)
in parts, touch of Bjork...

Yeah, B&R need to put that in their next evaluation. (?)

I liked this too and sought out their website. It's at www.kolida.net. They are giving away free copies of a six-track CD, including Wishes, while stocks last. You just have to email them saying something nice, which isn't hard IMO...

I looked at some reviews on LJ plays the beatles, and found this one. Relaxing Beatle guitar pleasure!! Great Guitar..... Great lazy day Background music...... Great before bed ....... Great for lullaby for small child.. Great twist on Beatle classics.. Great CD... I guess Michael Jackson is a big fan.

This is good. But check out the "LJ Plays the Beatles" which for some reason also appears. That guy looks like a rockin' good time.
