There is nowhere left to hide
There is nothing to be done
No people to be saved
No pets we've never named
40 miles from the sun
As darkness craves the mind
We come undone without our pride
No time on earth to come
All the pleasures just begun
40 miles from the sun
In our coats beneath the layers
Wash my skin of all the hate
We should sleep late
Everything just kind of grates
40 miles from the sun
40 miles from the sun
40 miles from the sun
I need to lose to make it right
I'll confront the stars tonight
I will babble, I will bite
You'll never know how much you shine
40 miles from the sun
40 miles from the sun
40 miles from the sun
40 miles from the sun
From the sun
40 miles from the sun
40 miles from the sun
40 miles from the sun
40 miles from the sun
40 miles from the sun
There is nothing to be done
No people to be saved

Times like this, comments and ratings are truly appreciated. I haven't unclicked the mute button from the last song!

i can't believe all the negative comments! this is one of my favorite bush songs.
This went abso-freaking-lutely nowhere. Sheesh, what a waste of talent.
BUSH.
This is a very weak Bush track.... they've done much better than this.

Insert the word "other" between the words "the" and "Bush."
Music? Polarizing? Nonsense.
This is the Bush that should be voted out.
I'm going to side with Atom and Peter here, absolutely boring stuff. When it seemed back in '96 or '97 that these guys couldn't lose, I thought "where they gonna be in 2 years?" and lo and behold where are they.

Love this! When can we hear "Chemicals between us"? Thanks.
I always thought he was saying "My Cat he comes between us".

I totally agree.
Bush must be one of the most boring bands ive ever heard.
In an interview the drummer said : "Led Zeppelin is overrated...".
Hello? Listen to your drumming and the rest of your band !
The songs and the musicians are just very bland.
Maybe im too old for this ;-)

Does Bush use a random word generator to write the lyrics to their songs?
I know what you mean. I like some music because of the intellectual stimulation it provides, but I like other music because of the emotional, emphemeral qualities. Richard Buckner comes to mind also. His lyrics, while rather poetic in a written, non-musical form, sound like a struggle between lucidity and gibberish. Like a Bush song, it's the finer details of the music that must be appriciated, or missed altogether. Reminds me of Bruce Lee pointing to the sky while his student looked at the pointing finger. Lee slapped the kid and told him, "If you focus on the finger, you will miss all that heavenly glory."

Quite nice. But it makes me want to hear "Letting the Cables Sleep" instead.
I really like this band. Unfortunately, their name now reminds me of Dumbya. Maybe they'll change it.

I've been looking for a copy of the live version that Bush did at Woodstock 3, which happened just before this album came out. Does anyone out there have it? The performance at Woodstock was great.
I'm glad to hear some of the new Bush on RP :)))

I don't care what anybody else says, I LIKE IT! Thanx RP!
