I don't know where to begin
There's too many things that I can't remember
As I disappeared like a trend
And the hum of the 5 in the early morning
And now I'm taking my time
Up through Coalinga through the Valley
This highway lived in my mind
It takes me back to the place that made me

Was I in your way
When the cameras turned to face you?
No room in frame for two

You cannot outrun a ghost
Speeding southbound lanes with abandon
It catches you on the coast
Or on the cliffs of the Palisades you killed the engine

And then it hovers above
Reeling bodies failing to discover
A thing they once knew was love
Raising their voices to convince one another

Was I in your way
When the cameras turned to face you?
No room in frame for two

And how can I stay in the sun
When the rain flows
All through my veins?
It's true

Then I guess it's not a failure that we could help
We will both go on getting lonely with someone else
With someone else

Was I in your way
When the cameras turned to face you?
No room in frame for two

And how can I stay in the sun
When the rain flows
All through my veins?
It's true

Then I guess it's not a failure that we could help
We will both go on and get lonely with someone else
With someone else

Such great albums.... And if you think these guys are laid back in concert... wrong.  They rock.

I thought so as well but as I listened to the lyrics he sort of admits his own culpability.  Its sort of a sad admission of wanting a relationship that perhaps never had a chance in the first place.

On the way to a show in Raleigh, I told some friends I'd invited that more and more of Ben's songs seem like their about his breakup with Zooey.  The show was amazing.  Halfway through the set, Ben introduced a song by saying, "this one was written during the worst year of my life".

You still can't diss the Death Cabs.
You mean like this death cab? Sure can't. It's got lots of great base notes and earthtones.
Had to look up the Zooey references.  Wow I now turn to RP to get my gossip fix LOL
Not my favorite DCFC album, but this song is great.
Говно! как и весь ваш сайт все время пропадает
Looking forward to seeing them with my lad this evening ...
This is pretty standard DCforC but Plans & Narrow Stairs are both much better albums.... 6
You still can't diss the Death Cabs.
You can never go wrong with DCC.
I am thinking a song about Zooey ?  Relationships are hard, for both partners.  I love this tune
Grand tune and love his voice

He can't sing, but it's ok

Really enjoy this band.  RP discovery for me as they are never played over here, to my knowledge.

They are pretty big here.  Not Top 40 play or anything, but for sure one of the leading acts in their niche.
ok song at first, but becoming very overplayed.
Directed toward Zooey, perhaps?
Great Pop Song, one of the catchiest refrain i've heard in years.
8 for me :)

I'd easily go an 8 for the music. Still struggling with those vocal stylings though, so 6. : (

Yeah, those vocal stylings... = 2 for me.
