It is bullshit to compare the suicide and overdose rate without presenting the variability in baseline rate in previous years. It is also bullshit to make the comparison to covid deaths without considering that those mitigation measures you are blaming for the increase in overdoses almost certainly reduced the mortality from covid. If anything the data suggest that the clusterfuck of covid most likely would be much worse than the roughly 180 excess overdose and suicide deaths. And, yes, any death is tragic. So where was the increase in funding for suicide prevention and drug treatment programs to try and mitigate the effect? Didn't hear of anything in the federal spending bill.

Also who knows how much is the stress of measures to fight the pandemic vs. stress from ITS A FUCKING PANDEMIC!

We had our first customer call and advise us that he has tested positive shortly after visiting our other location.  This news broke today.
