Never grew 'em before; planted these on a whim from a pkg of seeds last September. They sprouted and I managed to keep the 12-16" sprouts safe from a couple of freezes in Jan ... only 3, so no biggie. These guys have surpassed the usual amount of bulbs. Apparently I've become an Artichoke Whisperer â Buying pkgs of Knorr Hollandaise sauce mix in bulk lately.
The hedge behind the fence is approximately 8' 7" tall. These are three plants.
Anyone up for Dip?

I don't know if I've ever seen them growing in a garden or on a farm. There's at least one of the farmers at the market who leaves part of the vine on them when they sell them. I think their season around here is late summer.
