This gets curiouser and curiouser. Heard a specialist say the perp's name means Sword of Allah in Arabic. Turns out she was right. With a name like that he never should have been allowed in the US in the first place. So at least the NYPD took care of his sword.

I know a guy named Marty Brewer. It's a sham, he doesn't brew, he doesn't even drink beer, something about being alcoholic. It's blatant misrepresentation, fraud even. I'd dump him, but he makes a kick ass clam lemon cake. Wonder how you say "Baker of citrus" in Arabic? Pretty sure I can sell him on a name change once we show him the logic.
Marty is short for Martin, which is derived from the Latin Martinus, for Mars, the god of war.

A few hours into this horrible tragedy and it only took you four lines to turn it into a political argument. Not a record for you by a long shot, but for the love of FSM could you just once wait until the bodies get cold? You might try not looking at this sort of thing as an opportunity.
Seriously, dude.
Well, I have no problem turning a tragedy into a political argument. So, this long after Las Vegas, can we start talking doing something about gun control?
Yeah, Fox is not a reliable news outlet. Unless it's reported elsewhere it isn't true. And again the same Tony Shaffer I mentioned earlier said the same thing about his name yesterday morning. I give the man complete cred having watched and listened to his comments for years.
I guess we disagree on the translation and meaning of the defendants name.
We also get different search results. It says a lot about what each of us clicks on. FWIW, Fox doesn't come up in my search results AT ALL. And I read a lot of Fox news. Probably not as much as you, though.
The fact that it was said by Brigitte Gabriel, founder and CEO of ACT! For America, which the Southern Poverty Law Center names an “anti-Muslim hate group" doesn't give you pause? I'm digging deep and I can't find any other references for your claim. Is she the "expert?" On Uzbek names? She sure learned a lot from her YWCA business course.
I will respectfully disagree with you on this. This was not a tragedy. It was an outright act of war and it made me mad as hell, especially when I learned within 3 hours of the event that it was totally preventable. That it was 100% preventable is the tragedy here. There were no vehicle barriers anywhere along this bike path. It was a long known problem as stated by Shep Smith on FNC in the 5 o'clock hour when he stated that many cars have entered it over the years simply because of confusion. That is what really pissed me off. I waited and waited for someone to bring attention to the missing barriers, but I heard nothing. The Mayor is more interested in carriage horses than the safety of his citizens. They have just quietly placed barriers this afternoon to fix this problem. It was also reported by Tony Shaffer that ISIS had posted an article with pictures of this particular venue on it's online magazine as a specific target in August of this year. All this info available within 3 hours of the incident. All the worse for no traffic barriers being erected and especially in the aftermath of Nice. We learn nothing. Just sluff it off as another copycat event. That is like calling a mortar attack a copycat event.
Yeah sure, the guy would have likely found another vulnerability - or maybe not. It took him a year to pick out this one as we now know. We know he was determined and is proud of what he did. As long as we keep calling these things tragedies, we ignore what they really are. Manhattan Island is a battleground, in my opinion and many others. We are under attack and these bona fide acts of war are going to continue to happen. Calling it a tragedy makes it more acceptable and easier to move on and forget. We should never learn to accept these things as normal.
peace
Yeah, Manhattan is a battle ground. Let us not stop the bloodshed until the last heathen is breathless on the field. Only when they bend to our will shall *our* God(tm) be proven superior to theirs. Let us block all the traffic and fortify anything shown in a magazine. Luckily for us Manhattan is the battleground - lots of really great pizza to keep us fed on our quest to satisfy our lord.
Do you ever look at your posts here and go "wtf am I on about?", I know a lot of us do.
I did. I also googled it myself. And used a reliable translation site. Not a single reliable news site has picked up on this bombshell!

The Sword of Allah is verified. Did you not click my google link ? I realize some of the links have changed over the past two days because it is a live link but its all there. Take your pick.

Your surname comes from Greek words that mean "shining joy." Your name in Arabic means "lion" or "guardian." No fair having two! Pick one, dammit!
The information on the shot to the groin was made by a high ranking retired NYPD officer who I am somewhat familiar, was speaking on the matter at about 6.50pm EDT on FBN. He just threw in the remark as his segment was coming to a close and said that he just heard from credible sources deep in NYPD that the defendant was not shot in the abdomen as reported, but the groin and he was very happy to hear that bit of info as he spontaneously shared it. You may have noticed in some reports that they are now saying the leg instead of the abdomen. No one is likely to say he got it in the nutz for a host of reasons. I considered rewinding the show to get his name correctly but didn't as it wouldn't matter if I did. But I did make note of the time and place and anyone who has a copy of that show on Fox Business News can verify it.

Well there is some good news. From deep inside NYPD, the Jihadist SOB was not shot in the abdomen, he got the other head shot, to the "groin". Its about time someone was thinking properly. *snip*

The views expressed in my post are less ludicrous than those who spout treason and impeachment when speaking of Trump. They get a pass though.
You omitted my disclaimer ... But all the preceding are just my own thoughts on the matter, and worthless in the big picture. I admitted conjecture and wishful thinking on my part, not that I take these thoughts to be true. Those parading treason and impeachment are deadly serious.
Trump has been under FBI investigation for a year and a half. We have seen nothing yet as a result. Collusion is not a crime. Yet we have seen actual money change hands regarding collusion on the Democrat side in the case of the Steele Dossier. Yet all Democrats who testified before Congress claimed they did not participate, fund or even have knowledge of any DNC involvement of the dossier. We now know this to be false. The FBI funded it as well and even presented it as factual evidence to Obama in his daily briefings. It apparently was the basis used for spying on and unmasking Trump officials in FISA warrants during the campaign. The FBI is refusing to release information requested by Congressional committees regarding their involvement with the Steele Dossier. How is that even happening ? The FBI refusing to cooperate with Congress ? That may be okay and reasonable in your world, but not mine.
I'm just scratching the surface. My little post was just to get some stuff out of my head and vent in the light of what I just mentioned here which is just plain bizarre at face value, let alone digging deeper. The farther this goes the creepier it gets. But we have yet to see any evidence of Trump's involvement in any of this that is claimed to be the basis for all of the investigations in the first place.
...if only you had as much patience for the investigation to fully play out as you do for waiting on Trump to deliver legislative "wins".
Or you could send me a million dollars and I'll quietly disappear into the sunset ... might be cheaper ...
Give it to you? You wouldn't even enjoy it that way. You're a self starter, you've earned everything on your own with no help from anyone, why sully that perfect reputation by just taking something offered to you (or begging for it). While I appreciate the 'might be cheaper' component, I think you overstate the value of your disappearance. If you really need money, just bootstrap it like your favorite politicians do.
