Yer so superior on your moral high horse, you do make me wanna throw up.
With your programmatic goal of "inclusion of any diversity" and teaching from a pedestal the only thing you produce is division, the opposite of your "apparent" programming.
Instead of lambasting other folks' wordings I suggest you work on yourself first.
Empathy isn't programming, and I accept that I'm a work in progress.
You don't have to be an asshole you know... it's a choice.
You could have...but you didn't. That's the point.
You always want to assign specific attribution to people. Instead... say what the fuck you mean and stop associating "traits" based on things you can't know.
Say "I have great respect for Polynesian culture". That's it... it's an idea that includes people, but isn't a tag you're placing on individuals.
The "culture of those black people" is not the same as saying "black culture". Stop assigning people to groups, and accept that everyone is a mix of multiple backgrounds.
This isn't usually a big deal, but it's exactly the type of tone-deaf stupidity that Trump displayed in the "I thought Kamala was Indian, now she's black" comments. Seeing people so strictly as belonging to a group is the foundation of racism.
So here's a tip for your trolling... if you want to offend someone, use "those ______" when referring to someone's heritage, background, etc. If you want to display a bit of enlightenment and not look like an asshole when communicating with others, avoid using those to associate anything to a group of people.
What's wrong with me... is that I'm trying not to piss others off over something insensitive and potentially terribly wrong.

Just saw this. What kind of drugs are you on ? You're one mean SOB when it is all said and done.
I could have just as easily said Polynesians instead of Pacific Islanders. Are they both offensive or one is and one is not ?
I'm an old surfer. My thoughts about and respect towards Polynesians as a culture are nearly as old as I am. It is genuine and sincere.
I mean really, what the fuck is wrong with you ?

To their credit, they are showing Josh Shapiro's speech in Philly... but the banner at the bottom says "Shapiro rallies for Harris & Walz after VP snub"
Tulsi is Samoan. A Pacific Islander. I have great respect and reverence towards the cultures of these Islanders.
Who are "those" islanders? Even when you're being complimentary you're grouping and stereotyping.
She's perfect for Trump: a former Democrat who couldn't achieve so she started selling red meat to the cult.
She went from Planned Parenthood and gun control to blaming the media and the deep state. She loves autocrats... Assad, Putin, Modi, Erdogan... amazing leaders all.
She spewed the MAGA doctrine to make a buck (sound familiar?)... and you love her for it. She's been MAGA for 15 minutes... and you want to give her the keys to the kingdom.
Roy Cooper seems likely to me. Trump won NC in 2020 by only 2 or 3 percentage points and both parties have been doing a lot of campaigning around here. Beshsears, Kelly, and Pritzker are probably being seriously considered as well. Ocasio-Cortez is only 34, though she would be 35 by election day. Still it's unlikely she would be chosen anyhow.
Kurts dream is AOC... so the cult's "radical left agenda" talking points still play. Not a chance... her star is not rising.
Shapiro scares the shit out of Trump. The idea that he's somehow toxic to the ticket because of the radical support for Gaza in MI and WI is overblown. Is Shapiro more supportive of Israel than Trump? Isn't he a Jewish grandfather? The Right just makes silly arguments looking for anything that will stir the base... and that's their problem.
Does Shapiro sound like a radical left dem?
âOur colleges, in many cases, are failing young people. âFailing to teach information that is necessary to form thoughtful perspectives. They are willing to let certain forms of hate pass by and condemn others more strongly.â
This election isn't going to be won by the MAGAverse or the neverTrumpers... it'll be won in the middle. The Republicans keep doubling down with the base. Trump's gonna be "different", but he can't control himself and goes darker and deeper. He attacks the guy who dropped out... a perfect chance to prove he could pretend to be a leader instead of an asshole. Nope.
The Dems are moving to the middle... and someone like Shapiro, who is very popular with both parties, is a very solid, strategic choice.
Gotta pick someone who earns the swing states, and AOC ain't the one.
She doesn't need any more oomph in the real Dem states.

I have not heard this until seeing it here. I wouldn't have picked Vance myself but I understand sorta why he was the one. He is onboard with Trump's agenda and won't likely try to undermine him and actually help it move forward.
He's got some learnin' and 'splaining to do. Saw him on Trey Gowdy's show last night where he was asked tough questions and he was definitely uncomfortable and was only managing talking points to defend himself. If he does not catch on and get up to full speed shortly he could be a boat anchor.
FWIW, I would have liked Tulsi in a McCain / Lieberman way. She brings a whole bunch to the table and would definitely speak up to Trump and tell him what she thinks.
But oh, well.
And I don't see Shapiro. He's Jewish and would piss off the anti Israel progressives and at least cost Harris, Michigan.
I would like to see her pick AOC. That would be a real ticket. Checks all the boxes.
Not sure if she's old enough yet though. Ain't looking it up cuz it certainly won't happen anyway.
From a far (mine) end............
my thumbs up for Tulsi Gabbard. Quite surely, her time will come, sooner or later.
Noone's not named Tulsi without there being a reason for healing in the habitat or around.
I've seen some talk of this already but he's the nominee; I don't know how that would work at this point.
