Tell me that you're just a friend
Tell me something I don't know
I don't love you anymore

When I do go
I'll let you know
It might hurt you
But I don't think so

Here we go round 'n round
State your case and then sit down
Tell me why you want to go
I don't love you anymore

I don't love you any more

He has a very unique voice and style....  I always thought he'd be the next Elvis.   He made me stop working to see if was indeed, Chris Isaak as suspected.

Sexy...
What a tedious goddamn slog this is.

Much better segue tonight: Mark Knopfler "Punish the Monkey" to this.

Don't look away! You can't look away!
Great guitar tune and Chris got some soul
that percussive on the 4th beat reminds me of Wall of Voodoo - Mexican Radio

I know, right? Crazy.
He's really good in concert.

Very Roy Orbison!   In style & quality!

Chris Isaak is so underrated. He has the voice, the talent and a very powerful feeling. He should be doing new records.

Very true!!! I agree!!!
This is ok, but this is supposed to be the rock mix. I don't recall hearing any Rory Gallagher or even AC/DC on this channel.
Went to a Chris Isaak concert at the Greek few years back.  There were 8 dudes & 8,000 chics there.  Best concert ever.  And the music was great too!
The cheesy old organ drum pattern just fits. I'd never had the guts to try this on my tracks :)

Right On!
I love his voice! ...Great music!
When Mr Isaak began to gain serious popularity, my teenaged kids called him "that whiny guy."  Cracks me up to this day.

Then seek out your local FM stations - because they never overplay any artists
Far too much Isaac/Young/Morrison on this station

I clicked over to say pretty much exactly this. How annoying is that riff? God.

James Wilsey on this album.

I remember reading something shortly after Wicked Game became a hit, that said Chris Isaak didn't feel he was all that great looking, between his own many-times broken nose and the audience going nuts for his guitarist James Wilsey. It seems fairly obvious that Isaak has aged better since then.

Kickin butt here. Love me some CI. I guess I am old because man, I have been following his work/tours for about 28 years now.

WOO-HOO!!! GRITTY YODEL-YELPING Mmmm-mm!!!  : )
Going to see him tonight at the Gennesee Theater in Waukegan IL. Looking forward to it!
He's on a Mexican radio....
The man and his fabulous band still put on one HELL OF A SHOW! (Boulder Theater 8/29) and if you ever get the chance, go see 'em!

I usually don't especially like Chris Isaak but perhaps I haven't heard enough.  I like this.  It's got me clicking up the volume.

Yeah.

Dirty is good...out of tune sucks IMHO, though. Cool song, but I can't get my ears past the guitar intonation.

You're right. It is out of tune a bit. Maybe that's what makes the song seem just a bit off-balance.
Appropriate.

...because he's a heartless bastard?..oh wait, no, that's a cincinatti band, or james mcmurtry's backing band, or somesuch...

Good groove.

Chris and Kenny Dale rock.  Period.

Chris Isaak is usually pretty good, but I just don't like "dirty guitar"  (good description, bronorb)
Now why does this sound like the Reverend Horton Heat and/or Mojo Nixon?

Now, THIS is a song by which to scramble eggs!

I am so glad RP loves Chris Isaak as much as I do!
What an awful bit of music. Bad guitar playing over an unbelievably boring background of general blues-type mush.
Very Good Album. Great cover too. Made me use Franklin everywhere for years.
smokin! this man can do no wrong

Do you know you're leaving out a few? I'd recommend this one (SF Days) and Forever Blue for sure. Baja Sessions is excellent but it's mostly stipped-down covers of his songs, plus some others. It has a great sound to it though and shouldn't be left out. Speak of the Devil is also really good. I don't have the one (or two) after that.
Always Got Tonight is excellent too. He's consistently good. AGT is more variety-- different rock styles on each song, but all the songs are great.

I absolutely loved the first couple of Chris Isaak albums. So here's a question: if I'm going to add to my collection, would you recommend Baja Sessions or San Fransisco Days?
I always liked SF Days. For me, more so than other recordings before or after. But I acknowledge that i was in a place 1993 where i found him more enjoyable either before or after. so just a moment in time for me.
Hey! Is that the rhythm track from Wall of Voodoo's "Mexican Radio"? Sure sounds like it.

what a wicked song to sing... no I... don't wanna fall in love... with Chris Isaak. :O
Not my favorite CI (which would be Livin' for Your Lover and Back on Your Side) but it's ok. Meh.
