Well she flipped out
From the ocean
And she landed on my path
I didn't know her kind
But she's exactly where it's at

A dark creature
With a fire
She's burning down my past
And I've been hopeless
But she's not into hearing that

Ah, she was a shiver looking for a spine
For a spine to run up
She was a shiver looking for a spine
I came along and she blew my mind
A shiver looking for a spine

When the silence comes around
And I'm looking in her eyes
I've never been this way
But right now I'm hanging for her time

Ah, she was a shiver looking for a spine
For a spine to run up
She was a shiver looking for a spine
I came along and she blew my mind
A shiver looking for a spine
Shiver looking for a
Shiver looking for a spine

Nobody knows me better
Nobody knows me better than you
Nobody knows me better
Better than you

Now she's on heavy rotation
She's always on my mind
I marvel at her works
When you rise and when you shine

She was a shiver looking for a spine
For a spine to run up
She was a shiver looking for a spine
I came along and she blew my mind
The shiver looking for a
The shiver looking for a spine

The spine was mine
I wanna swing like my father swung
When he won my mother's heart
Out on the swing like my father's one
When he won my mother's heart

More Tim Finn!!! Thank you William and Co
Barred Owl. Cool.
Love Crowded House, but boy is this not up to Finn’s high standards. And the noise behind it reminds me of Banzai Predicament.
Great  intro!   Underwater Mountain has an even better intro!
What a weird, wild set of rhythms rippling through this song! Reminds me of an older Beth Orton song, and that's a very good thing...
Good tune!
The opening cymbals got me thinking we were going to hear Riders On The Storm.

Agreed.  That awful noise in the background takes the song from probably pretty decent to "Oh my god please make it stop!"

Incessant background noise is right...I am afraid to hear this whole song because i don't want to catch an ear worm with that sound that will haunt me for days on end.
Jeff Tweedy sounding vocals

Hi Bill, I just heard you say that Tim is currently touring with Fleetwood Mac. It is actually his brother Neil Finn touring with them.

Cheers, Renton.

I just heard that as well and was baiscally writing the same comment when I saw yours.

Tim sings a bit flat. That's what makes him lovable. I think that's a Kiwi Bird in the background.

Not a kiwi. Kiwi's go "kiwi" .
Could be a Morepork. Moreporks go "more pork"

actually the morepork's proper name is ruru.. does that fit?

There are lots of sounds mixed in there , even Nirvana and ?..
Wow , whale and Nirvana visiting a folk fest

This would be just fine without that incessant hooting, but as it is it makes me want to throw my speakers out the window!

Guitar for Dummies - Lesson #1: Tuning your instrument
WTF! These guys are brrilliant, together and not. INSTANT hook omg and now we're to the bridge/chorus. Staggering sudden sodden and now it's going back, continuing. So much HEART. And mind and all the good stuff. Thanks RP.

Yes, it does - more than a whale; it sounds like a shortened sample of one's call. I hear that hooting pretty often; several of them hang out around in the trees in my neighborhood.  Cool tune too.

I was going to say, "Stop hurting that whale!" but you beat me to it.

Nice - never heard this before.  Great track, and yes like someone said - it is reminiscent of Pinback for sure.
Uncomfortable.  That weird hooting reminds me of the noises I heard in my head as a kid when I had a massive high temperature during a bout of the measles.
Sounds like a barred owl.
I like this! I notice that some of Pinback's catchier songs have this type of cross-chorded, slightly bent, wonderfully trippy texture, too!

Its not Neil but no one is.....
:) Are those doves Erik or just a sample from a Roland?
