I hear elements of Keith Jarrett and George Winston.
As with Sr. Einaudi this is a track made for watching the snow fall on a gray day.

I found Suzanne's music back around this time as well.
Bought this CD through a fund raiser from a friends High  School student in 2002.

Or maybe some Liz Story

Very similar to Scarborough Fair. Beautiful anyway.

BINGO! Thank you! I was hoping someone here would tell me what my brain stubbornly refused to divulge.  ;)
This song wants to break out into another song any Thyme now.
Does anyone else hear "Lather" by Jefferson Airplane, Crown of Creation album, here?

Is this where Dana Carvey got the intro to "Choppin' Broccoli'?

Sad Lisa I think.
Scarborough Fair?
wow! such beautiful piano!
Comments on this tune go almost all the way back to the 2nd beginning of RP on November 26, 2001.

So I normally hate stuff like this and yet for some reason I don't hate this. But this has been a crummy week and I'm tired, so either this song is better than usual or I've lost all ability to think critically.

Yes. I feel the same..

I heartily enjoy quality modern piano.
First thought Einaudi had a new CD out, but then again, this one here definitly has a female touch in its music...
Anyway, I am a sucker for this kind of music as well....  like it a lot!
I like it.  I'm a sucker for this kind of stuff.

I was thinking AC/DC..

This one really grabbed me by the eardrums.  {#Smile}
Well, I like it.
Shivers. Yuk. Horrid newagey soulless crap. IMHO {#Roflol}
Lots of hating in this thread for a song with an average of 7 (and median of almost 8).  I guess not very many people want to admit they like it.  It doesn't blow me away or anything, but I think it's well executed and pleasant enough.  Somewhere between a 6 and a 7 IMNSHO.  I'll go flip my decision coin and let the fates decide.

Chi Yanni. Makes me want to break things. And I am a new age sensitive guy.
As this segues into "Classical Gas" by Mason Williams.......brilliant!

Interesting career - (click here). I respect what she's accomplished but much of her "new age" style material (this tune included) is a little too lightweight for my tastes.

I was thinking that too. Kind of like "Lisa, Lisa, Sad Lisa Lisa."
Makes me think of white ponies, a light mist, fair skinned maidens, and canopy beds.
8) definitely has a medieval sound to it...

And I fully agree. On both :)
Reminds me of David Lanz. Lovely. Please send more.

Yea not too bad - it is a little close to George Winston, but I can handle it.

Hmm, I was hearing a little "Parsley Sage Rosemary and Thyme" back in there...
Nice enough I guess, but at mid-day? it\'s a little sleepy.
Extremely nice, but there seemed to be a good bit of snap, crackle, and pop in it. Still, it\'s an instrumental I was not familiar with, and quite a nice one at that.
Sounds like \"Kiss from a Rose\" by Seal.
Slán go fóill.
Excellent, Smithers..... :D Yes - please play more ambient music like this.
Beautiful music, nice and relaxing after a rough, busy day. ;)
I guess some people only like music if there is an edge of some sort. Too bad they can\'t appreciate this as well. I don\'t get the syrup inferred by the Tesh comment and if Muzak is anything that doesn\'t have words, a lot of wonderful instrumental music can too easily be tagged with the \"elevator\" pejorative. This sounds very nice; pretty and calming in the best sense of those words. Pretty and calming are not \"bad\" words, are they? Peace
Kind of caught me off guard with this one, Bill; it\'s really lovely. More by Ciani would be nice :)
Sounds like John Tesh. Zzzzzzzzzzzz......
Very nice! :) Like a cross between Enya and Tori Amos.
sweet.
niiiice...
Very beautiful. Music like this is why I listen to RP.

Was just about to say the SAME THING!!! still very good music... a little more piano then we normally here on RP ... a good thing for 2:50 am when the overhead light at the office is turned off to reduce the stress on night worker eyes, and the place is quiet (no alarms for a few minutes) and the pianos play... :)

exceedingly beautiful.
I\'ve been a big fan of Suzanne since \"Seven Waves\" came out. Maybe she is a bit to mellow for some, but, accoustic piano is my personal favorite instrumental music. Good choice. :)
