Going down in the same old town down the same street to the same bar
And the same old people saying hi and I don't care
Going down in the same old bar and I don't even order anymore
I am so sick of consequences and the look on your face
I am tired of playing defense
I don't even have hockey skates

You can meet me at ten thirty
I won't be there I'll be gone
We can talk like we are friends
Going over it all again
Talking about everything I am doing wrong

Do you wish your nose was longer
So you'd have an excuse not to see past it
Do you wish the lights were brighter in the city that you live
I am so sick of consequence and the look on your face
I am tired of playing defense
I don't even have hockey skates

You can meet me at ten thirty
I won't be there I'll be gone
We can talk like we are friends
Going over it all again
Talking about everything I am doing wrong

Do you think your boys club will crumble
Just because of a loud-mouthed girl?
Just because of a loud-mouthed girl?
I don't even have hockey skates

Going down in the same old town down the same street to the same bar
And the same old people saying hi and I don't care

O Canada....
Flat flat monotone....Awful!

Do I wish my nose was longer? Sometimes, as a sensitive proboscis can be an excellent aid for 'cunning linguists' :o)
Nice enough voice but boy the lyrics are goofy, hard not to laugh.  "I don't even have hockey skates"?

not a very happy gurl is she?
A slightly girlier (and much more Canadian :) Lucinda. Nice.

This must be the "Lame Lyrics" set:
Crash Test Dummies: Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm ...
Kathleen Edwards: Hockey Scates

We're waiting with anticipation for the next song...
Crash Test Dummies. Then Hockey Skates. Could "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" be next?

spot on dude...

A great singer, a great album and the song is godlike.
I can't believe I've never heard of her, but I'm going to take your word for it and get this CD.  I really like her!

Got to see her live in a little bar in Halifax, she "Sure as Shit" is a goody and soooo Canadian. Her Asking for Flowers is a great CD to check out.
A little Canadian combo here with Kathleen and the Crash Dummy ... The Hip would go great next. Can't wait for hockey season to start

We need more from Kathleen - the female Neil Young.

Now why didn't I think of that!  Perfect analogy. This is a great album.

Z-Z-Z-Z     Please wake me up when it's over. Not detestable, just not engaging.

love me some kathleen.
So good to hear this song on RP. Kathleen is an amazing performer and should be seen live if at all possible.
OK another new artist for me and ...I'm still listening again.  This is an amazing run of great songs. Last 15: 8 - 10's, 5 - 9's and 2 - 7's.  I do love RP.

Mark Knopfler on guitar?
Great song off a great album from a great looking and very sexy Canuck.

Somebody really should upload "Goodnight California" from her new album.  Crikey that is a good song.  Go to her website and have a listen.  It's the first song to play.

I can't believe they are not playing Copied Keys. One of her best songs ever!!!!!!
We need more from Kathleen - the female Neil Young.
I wanna hear this one again! play it again!
Whine, whine. Blah, blah. Yuck.
