Make your worst enemy listen to this day an night!
And they will become your friend. And ask you to dance.
8 or so years ago I was intent on getting altitude-corrected, shall we say, and I energetically popped out from a side-trail onto the main trail up to Bluebell Shelter from Chautauqua, and a guy in a tuxedo sees me lighting up a tasty J of Golden Goat, and he begs me for a share of it. I said "Sure, man, but, ahh...what's with the outfit?" and he said, "-- Oh... Oh... Well, I'm in this band, this band called Pink Martini, and we're playing at Chautauqua Auditorium, and uhh... we're on a break, and, uhh..." and I just love that that happened...
Thank You for sharing your story. I follow your posts. You sound like tons of fun!
this song does it!
I Agree!
first off, the name pink martinini is delicious.
or "pink martini," even.
EXCELLENT TUNE!! I Agree completely! PLEASE ADD MORE PINK MARTINI to the RP playlist! Thank You!

You just have to love CoJo's stories. Substance related or otherwise. Thanks for sharing :)
a bossa nova?
or tango?
sometimes its a challenge
Love this song and the band is great to see in person. If you can, seek them out at the Portland Zoo for an open air night performance (even if it's raining).
Agreed, seen them there a couple of times, a great show every time. Highly recommend.

Thomas Lauderdale is so great! My bestie went to school with him. Says he has always been an outgoing, energetic musician. A local role model here in Portland, OR.

Almost as good as "Combustible Edison". Yes it's a drink, and a band, and it's divine! Similar great lounge music.
Wheresz my mar-teeni? Haves you been drankin' my mar-teeni? I wannanuther. An' make the rroo0m stop spinniining.
Dislike?? DISlike?? THIS band?
I don't hear that much other than the minor key and the so-called "Afro-Cuban" rhythm, but anyhow, it's the other way around. This song (originally titled "No Problem") was written by Duke Jordan (aka Jacques Marray) and recorded by Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers in 1959 or '60, for the original soundtrack to Roger Vadim's "Les Liaisons Dangereuses".
dance music for lovers : )
Good call!
Clouseau: Does your dog bite?
Hotel Clerk: No.
Clouseau: (bowing down to pet the dog) Nice doggie.
(Dog barks and bites Clouseau in the hand)
Clouseau: I thought you said your dog did not bite!
Hotel Clerk: That is not my dog.

Then you had cool parents.
And perhaps a better song for the onset of a winter storm, 14" of snow settling over one's brow like a dull ache. It's the promise of sun, light, warmth, a chilled chardonnay at a Trocadero cafe overlooking the Seine.
Morphing into Don Draper....
.......uàh uàh uàh !!!!!
fantastic, love it!!!

Yes...bachelor pad music. Good times.
I like it a lot, but is it really cheesy? I don't think so, somehow. It has some depth, I think.
This song make me want to get my drink on....something fruity & frothy
Sort of like the majority of your comments...Excelsior?
On another note, very cool tune.
Like you...booo....bies,,,,good day
I had a vinyl of Airto. Loved him.

This is nothing but make-believe jazz - repetition does not make music. Try the real stuff if you want music that plays with the mind.
reliable musicians & voices - 7.
Mid Century Modern house music.
Nothing Wrong With That... How about Herb Alpert!
