That's not Herman. Traction pads didn't exist when the Munsters were on and they never did a surfing show. Batman on the other hand...
LOVE ME SOME SURF GUITAR

If you like this, try and find the precursor band, The Raybeats. Their album "Guitar Beat" is a lost masterpiece....a bit hard to find though.
Been done before:

hello to a fellow San Diegan. If you like this check out www.tikioasis.com
I hope that Daddy-O-Grande is feeling better.{#Guitarist}

I LOVE this!
Surf's Up! (sent from the south east side of Michigan on a rather grey and bleak autumn day.)

If this floats your boat, try Shadowy Men on A Shadowy Planet.  Some fine CanCon.

Their music is even more fun in concert; they wear those masks on stage. I've seen them open for The Reverend Horton Heat, whose guitar playing was better live than on his albums.
Awesome! Clash/Rock The Casbah up next? Oh please oh please oh please....
OutfreakingStanding!  What a drummer!  {#Drummer}
Just saw them Saturday night here in Columbus.  Fun!!!
Not bad. I like it! {#Whistle}

Red Elvises ROCK. Saw them here at Jovita's years ago. That huge balalaika (sp?) was a hit.

Loves me some Los Straitjackets.

Surfs You Right!

Reminds me of Southern Culture on the Skids...and that's a good thing
YAY!!! LosStraitjackets!!!

Surf rock and rockabilly, a couple of rock sounds you don't hear enough of these days. Sounds like a hell of a show!

Dick Dale meets Spike Jones—only Jones was funnier. {#Propeller}

Actually it reminds me of a jazzed up "Adams Family" soundtrack with cameos by Frankie and Anette.

Did you ever think that maybe the Addams Family and Munsters soundtracks liberally drank from the well of the surf guitar? In other words, the surfing egg came first.

Not a bad song, but it's those Mexican wrestling masks on the cover that do it for me. My sons and I picked up some really sweet masks like those on a trip to Mexico. They are our prized possession. I wrestle under the name "Picante Poblano"

Yes, but with the campiness of the B-52s' "Rock Lobster."

Wow. I think I saw these guys in Allentown at the yearly music festival. I just thought they were some crazy crossbreed between a local garage band, and pro wrestlers.
Great band. Saw 'em at the Knitting Factory, Oct '06 in NYC... with the sisters... and Kaiser George... what a hoot! Like the B52s meet Robert Gordon... nice to hear 'em here on RP!

Opening bars sound like East Bay Ray from the dead kennedys
Electric guitars finally reached Mexico! Keep them unplugged.
These guys totally ROCK in concert!

Going to see them on 11/3 here in C-bus and looking forward to it. I've never seen them with the dancing sisters on stage with them.
These guys are coming to Detroit the day after tomorrow...this was a nice teaser!
This is hitting the spot - bumped it to an 8.

If the new Jack Black movie Nacho Libre does not have a Los Straightjackets song in it I am going to be sorely disappointed :)

Yes it does. But to me, this doesn't sound funny. Unconventional or obscure? Yes. But humorous? No, not really.
I highly recommend this entire album; great party music.

So THAT's the trick. \:D/ EDIT: And now it's deleting the extra slash from the quoted smiley.

I wouldn't be terribly upset if the U.S. changed it's national anthem to this....
