Baby was the best part of your youth a sensation
Yeah that's a change
I never thought I'd end up fooling you
Do you hear what they say?
All these people living up in my street
Well they say
'Out of touch, she lives in faded dreams'
Renee Renee Renee Renee
Baby how the weeks fade
Baby how the streets change
Renee Renee Renee Renee
Baby how the weeks fade
And maybe when the cheat plays
Maybe when the ace falls from his suit
And he tells you
'Yeah that's the game, I didn't want to lose it on the two'
You're playing his way
But the prize that you've been losing was youth
And I say
'Throw the ace and face up to the truth'
Renee Renee Renee Renee
Baby how the weeks fade
Baby how the streets change
Renee Renee Renee Renee
But baby how the weeks fade
Renee Renee Renee Renee
Baby how the weeks fade
Baby how the streets change
Renee Renee Renee Renee
But baby as the weeks change
And we've seen quite a few
I don't know who's fooling who
I'm fooling you
my friend renee passed a year ago this month. much, much too soon.
I will gladly remain in the shallow end & count the ways in which this song sucks. Or, drown myself to make it stop! Yuuuuuccckk!
Good bye. You won't be missed here.
A brilliant album and a production masterpiece!
Thanks for playing a cut off it Bill.
there are more good ones on this album.
It's my life - standard or tropical rainforest mix would be a fine play
Bill! - please expand your Talk Talk selection.
Who would have guessed "Colour of Spring" would follow this? Brilliant!
Nice song. Didn't realize this band had so much depth beyond the well known hits.
Please play more Talk Talk.
So how do you describe this music? Slow-dance New Wave?
pretty sure this came out in the mid 80's

Very true. Those who don't get them probably tend to stay in the shallow end....
No worries, the other one is probably The Colour of Spring - note the English spelling of colour. A terrific album.
I did too at first, but as it played on I realized it was Talk Talk...similar sound and distinctive at the same time.
Get the album Laughing Stock...there are hints of that sound in this song. You won't know it's the same band—in a good way I think.
Only on RP have I heard Talk Talk's non-hit numbers, and have been pleasantly surprised. Like many I'm sure I've got tired of their hits, nice though they were at the time, and didn't realise that they had a bit more depth. 7 from the 1Wolfy jury.
