INCREDIBLE GOOD ALBUM OF THE STONES - THEIR BEST...?
I was a little kid when this came out and don't remember much about the earlier Stones.  Just finished reading Pete Townsend's autobiography, which I highly recommend.  In it he talks a lot about the strong blues influence in this period. 

I thought this was one of their best albums .... Carried it with me everywhere during the 60's....

More blues as they started out to be before they saw all the money to be made in Rock...

I don't care much for the sound of The Stones, but this is the perfect single for me.
Not a big fan of the Stones but I do like some of the earlier stuff.  This too.

Brian & Keith obviously were saving their best licks for other songs.  Still, hearing this reminds one of RP's  road spectrum playlist.

I didn't even know this was a Stones song when I first heard it done by Lindsey Buckingham. I like the Stones version in a primitive sort of way, but Lindsey's cover kicks A**!
Love Ollabelle's version a bit better. But thumbs up to the Stones for the original.

That's why we tune in here.  You certainly can't get much deeper than side 2 of Aftermath, which was released in the U.S. three months after I turned...(wait for it)...SEVEN!!!!!!!

This sounded a bit familiar and not just from listening to RP, so I googled. This song was used in the soundtrack for "Rushmore", one of my fave films...
I think I have had a stroke. The pictures of the guys are all blurry. Nice song though.

For reasons I have yet to understand, 'Aftermath' may be my favorite Stones album of all! Oddly enough, I like it for the songs that were NEVER played on "Top 40 Radio" when it came out and I was 15 or 16 years old... "Flight 505" and "Goin' Home" are two cases in point...
