Are you one of the beautiful people?
Is my name on the list?
Wanna be of the beautiful people
Wanna feel like I'm missed
Hey you, with the walkie-talkie
I know my clothes are not right
I wish I had my own walkie-talkie
That reached to God every night
Everyone needs to be somebody
Everyone needs to find someone who cares
But I don't know if you know what I mean 'cause I'm
Never on your list
Are you one of the beautiful people?
Am I on the wrong track?
Sometimes it feels like I'm made of egg shell
And it feels like I'm gonna crack
Everyone needs to be somebody
Everyone needs to find someone who cares
But I don't know if you know what I mean 'cause I'm
Never on your list
I'm never on your list
I'm never on your list

How 'bout the Beastie Boys?
The Eels and Modest Mouse always had a quirky, witty attraction to me. Maybe I have a soft spot for animal-themed groups from the 90s?

Eels opened for Tori Amos on her Little Earthquakes tour in '92 except the outfit was called "A Man Called E" at the time.

Yet another artist not heard on Terrestrial Radio that I've been turned onto by RP. Calling David Byrne, please pick up the white courtesy phone.
Outstanding album, to these ears at least.
Eels wants to make me laugh and cry and rejoice and withdraw all at the same time.
reminds me a lot of cracker. interesting...
"Outstanding" for me
Underrated band!
1997 was powered by this song alone... Wow university was a dark time...
I was just thinkiing earlier how if it wasn't for RP, I would only know Eels from that movie Shrek!
GREAT!
Great album - but really disturbing cover...
Maybe he should try prayer.
I really dig the Eels, thanks RP for the intro! Good driving through the arid desert scrublands in a slow old pickup moving far away from home for a new job music.
Aside from the really creepy cover, this is one of my favorite CD's for intro/retro 'spection... ...then I keep thinking about the creepy cover... ...it scares me... ...a lot!
Very ,very nice!
This was a new group for me. It's sooooo... More please.
IMHO, one of the best Eels songs. I like the music, the melancholy, the lyrics ... all genius.
This entire CD just keeps getting better with every listen.
I have never heard this before.
I have been missing out on a pretty good song. The harmonica and guitar together are superb.

And what exactly would that bring him?
