I Agree! Very well stated! Thanx RP!
I feel the term 'avant-garde jazz' fits Tyner's work perfectly. It certainly is not your usual jazz listening experience, you have to do your part to listen to it. But once his vibe grabs hold of your spirit, you begin to realize that music can take you to higher (or lower) states of consciousness.

Awesome. Play more McCoy! (and some Coltrane, too)
One for sophisto-jazz hepcats, I think, not for this jazzophobe :(
Gotta say, this is one of the worst things I've heard on RP. Still, there's SO much good stuff to make up for it. How did this make it onto the playlist? I'm sure the listener review channel should have filtered it out (I've only succeeded in getting one track through).
Crapulous. Craptastic? Anyway, it didn't do a thing for me.

No, bam23 is right. Your comment was offensive! My mother has Parkinsons, it's nothing to joke about.
Ignorance and arrogance? That's an interesting perspective on individual musical tastes and dark humor.
Perhaps you can accept other viewpoints divergent from your own without criticism?

Wow, he is only John Coltrane's pianist on some of the greatest recorded works on the late 50s into the 60s as well as a brilliant and percussive musician. but to you he is only an object of derision. Fortunately, your judgement, founded in ignorance and arrogance, makes no impact. Still, at some point you might actually benefit from a little education, open your ears, and expand perspectives. Like, wow, you know?

Wow, the guy on the piano sounds like he's moving between Parkinsons and epileptic seizures

There is a fine line between modern jazz, which I like, and noise. In my personal opinion I'm afraid this crosses it.
There is better music by McCoy than this piece
Had to come see what this way—me likey! A lot!!
More jazz would be a very good thing, Bill! (Please?)
(And, Bill, would you mind, please, getting rid of that puke emoticon. No place for that here, not with you and Rebecca picking the tunes. And there's no need to encourage the trolls among us.)

Hmmm
took a _long_ time to get to McCoy piano. Which I dig a lot.
more and more jazz, more and more good taste
