I'm really close tonight
And I feel like I'm moving inside her
Lying in the dark
An' I think that I'm beginning to know her
Let it go
I'll be there when you call

And whenever I fall at your feet
You let your tears rain down on me
Whenever I touch your slow turning pain

You're hiding from me now
There's something in the way that you're talking
Words don't sound right
But I hear them all moving inside you
Go, I'll be waiting when you call

And whenever I fall at your feet
You let your tears rain down on me
Whenever I touch your slow turning pain

The finger of blame has turned upon itself
And I'm more than willing to offer myself
Do you want my presence or need my help
Who knows where that might lead

I fall
Whenever I fall at your feet
You let your tears rain down on me
Whenever I fall
Whenever I fall

Worst remake ever.  Executions in order.
This isn't too bad, and I can understand why they would want to cover it, but I wish more artists would cover bad songs--to make them better, instead of just taking a great song and and making it just....good.
Nothing wrong with the idea of covering or doing a tribute but this one doesn't work for me. Nice try, no cigar.
no.
I like these guys but this is slaughter {#Stop}
Only serves to remind you of the far better original.  I mean its not bad but is that really an achievement starting with genius and turning it into something ok?

 Trolling? Please be trolling.
PSD is too short...
Pleasant enough once it opens up, but I can't hear any reason for this to exist.  Nothing added or improved for me.  Original version for me.

It's an interesting cover.  I think I still prefer the original.  It reminds me though, it's only thanks to RP that I even realize how great Crowded House is, I only used to be familiar with the handful of singles that found success in the US.  I was not familiar with the quantity and quality of their overall work, including this heartfelt melody.

I second that!

A rather nice re-thinking of the original.
Urgh... Not hating.  This sounded too much like "Mumford and Sons" to me.
Very pretty, not bad harmonies banjo...  so  mellow!

Interesting and artistic interpretation based on their style. Can never understand why people can't "get" remade songs. Ever sang one at a campfire? Interpretation and improvisation. But I'm a musician so I get it. I think it's the musically illiterate that put songs in boxes.
I like the beginning better than the end.  I'm not sure I like the key they use...

Neil
Woah, simmer down there, person.

Everyone in the Rotel Moon loves this song.
.Different. Still a beautiful song. Need to hear again to decide if I like it or not.

Was prepared to dislike this because I love Crowded House and don't like Boy and Bear - but hell - its a damn good song and an interesting interpretation. - 8
Beautiful cover of a beautiful original.
Was prepared to not like it because I don't care for Crowded House, but found this quite charming.
I am really over "tribute" albums...play crowded house! this song of theirs is beautiful, these guys suck, sorry...
Simply awful remake of a classic. Engaging mute
Ozzies covering a Kiwi song.  What madness is this?! :-D
Great cover.
...boy & bear sound a lot like fleet foxes...
First listen...and a very cool cover.
I love this song, but this cover is tepid and plodding.

It's an outstanding song. And I guess as far as this band's sound goes, they did fine. I'll bet the Finns are honored to have these guys, Jesse Cook and who knows who else cover it......

The original will always reign, IMHO. {#Good-vibes}

"The original will always reign"

Agreed!!!

This song is so beautiful, I actually feel chills down my spine.
I really like this cover - it moves me. . .

Nice cover. The tree, too.
Songs composed by Tim and Niel Finn, performed by different artists? COOL!

I'm a big Crowded House fan and love the original, but this cover is really nice, too!  cool~ {#Cowboy}
Baobab tree on cover.  Good job, Mandolin.

banjo gives it a 7 to start with...
Fantastic so far!!
