Don't you know what you're doing
You've got a death wish

Suicide blonde
Suicide blonde
Suicide blonde
Suicide blonde

Suicide blonde was the color of her hair
Like a cheap distraction for a new affair
She knew it would finish before it began
Wow baby I think you lost the plan

You want to make her suicide blonde
Love devastation, suicide blonde
You want to make her suicide blonde
Love devastation, suicide blonde

She stripped to the beat but her clothes stay on
White light everywhere but you can't see a thing
Such a squeeze
A mad sad moment
Glory to you
Glory to you
Take me there
Take me there

Got some revelation
Put into your hands
Save you from your misery like rain across the land
Don't you see the color of deception
Turning your world around again

You want to make her suicide blonde
Love devastation, suicide blonde
You want to make her suicide blonde
Love devastation, suicide blonde

You want to make
You want to make
You want to make her suicide blonde
You want to make
Aww

That's the story

You want to make her suicide blonde
Love devastation, suicide blonde
You want to make her suicide blonde
Love devastation, suicide blonde

Love devastation
You want to make her suicide blonde
Love devastation, suicide blonde

i couldn't disagree more about the harmonica players.

but, i do love this song.

Interesting -- I would never group those two bands together (and I wonder what type of influence you mean; just influencing listeners, or having some musical "weight" that influenced other musicians?).

For me, it's thumbs up for INXS (virtually their entire catalog) and thumbs down for Duran Duran.

I'm not a fan of Duran Duran overall but their 1993 "Wedding Album" is great.

I agree with you. I love 90% of INXS tunes! I only like 3 or 4 Duran Duran tunes, but I still think they were influential at the time!

Totally COOL!

Please excuse his excitement. Maybe it woke you up.
Poignant song, considering Michael Hutchence was to have a "mad sad moment"

Anyone who liked INXS really should watch the recently re-released (2019?) live concert from Wembley Stadium "Live Baby Live".  A band at the top of their game. I used to think they were pretty good. Seeing them perform live, I now see them as an  amazing band.

Call girl walks into the private room of an elderly gentleman living in a nursing home..
She asks him if he would like to have super sex?

The man replies, I'll have the soup.

SLURP!
As Regurgitator sang "I like your old stuff better than your new stuff." This never did it for me.
Marilyn Monroe born 6/1/1926.
Well played, Bill.

I agree! ...I did like INXS (I didn't know why), at the time.  I did NOT like Duran Duran, but I appreciate them now, listening in FLACK w/ great headphones, amp, & DAC!

One of the worst songs of all time.

Looking for the video of Alex Trebek pronouncing "INXS" and not finding it.
Highly overrated band.
Ah, my heart. Love these guys . Their performance of this on Saturday Night Live was one of their best, imho.
Not my favourite track from this album but this band has a huge sound. I like them very much. Great driving music. I like Charlie Musselwhite's harpin' on this too. Introduced a really cool dude to the INXS audience.
Need not hear another song by this band.

I wish I could claim credit, but that's actually the origin of the expression!
 INXS had me going like this in the office. {#Dancingbanana_2}
I miss them. Good memories.

Nowhere near their best but still stormin' after Ms Raitt.

This isn't one of my FAVOURITE songs but there's something about hearing it in a certain time and place that makes it stick for me. Something about having the FM radio on the Sony Sports Walkman tuned to FM and having this come on, I think.
Plus, that's some nice harmonica blowin'

You're right; Ms. Raitt has a dirty-sexy saunter.  RAWR!

Probably coinciding with their 1st hit in America, remember listening to AFN in Europe and the DJ (Casey Kasem?) called the group 'In-Exes'

These guys really did rule the airwaves for a while with several juicy rocking hits! Can't help but hear the hints of Blondie in this one...

Good quality 80's hit which sounds a bit long in the tooth today.

It's intriguing how a lot of good pop hits just don't have much staying power. This still works but it plays up INXS' limitation as a deliberate manufacturer of pop.

"Soup and salad bar" {#Dancingbanana_2} {#Hungry}

Yes !  One of their best.

Love the harmonica but was never a fan of Michael Hutchence's voice so it's a 5 for me

This song used to always fill up the dance floor back in the day...that sax solo is still awesome 23 years later.
