So let me go upon my way
Born of a light
Born of a light
The wind rushing round my open heart
An open ravine
In my spirit white
Totally alive
In my spirit light
Through an open doorway
Across a street
To another life
And catching my reflection in a window
Switching on a light
One I didn't know
Totally alive
Totally released
Waking, waking up from shutdown
From a thousand years of sleep
Yeah you, you know what I mean
You know what I mean
You know what I mean
Standing on the edge of you
You know what I mean
You know what I mean
You know what I mean

if there was one band I could put into room 101, it would be this arse-gravy, drivelling, whining, mournful, funeral-music, dystopian band.
Think they only possible beneficial use for it would be in hostage situations, they could play it over the tannoy 24/7 at the building, and the terrorists would either kill themselves or come out begging for Prozac. Hostages would be fine, as being tied up, they’d be okay physically, would just need years of counselling to get over the mental trauma.
I envy anyone who's life has been so blessed that they have never felt like Radio Head (and others) sound. Or perhaps I should fear them.
Not likely.

Two out of three ain't bad...
Exactly. Who the @#% is "Porcupine Tree".
7 -> 8. This song is growing on me.
Radiohead is one of the few musical acts left that make original and engaging content. The other stuff is too often a bland bunch of predictable plastic.
Fake plastic music . . . as it were.

So uninteresting it almost becomes interesting. Almost!
That is very close to how I feel about them. They just make it over the edge for me.
Surprised there is still no track from the first one on RP yet..?
Obviously you are not familiar with the work of Mr. Bean...
Brilliant!
Although I do find both faces compelling.
There is no song here
repeat
nothing is here
I'm sure this comment comes directly from the cover art of one of the Radiohead albums but I can't remember which one.

Two out of three ain't bad...
So sorry your life is so short (and likely a bit narrow as well I would imagine). I have time for both music that I like instantly, (but then often grow tired of faster), as well as things that require more of my attention/concentration, but which rewards me with, usually, a lot longer shelf life.
Certain pieces of modern art, lots of jazz music, old Cabernet Sauvignons, and long, character-driven books all fall into the latter category for me.
It took me 30 years to wrap my head around Monk. It was worth the trouble.

RadioPlay / ColdHead...
You're like the people who hilariously compared Donovan to Dylan.

I do remember that now that you mention it. Very handy reminder yet annoying at the same time. I now use only Orange Zig Zags and buy them by the box of 24 booklets when I go into town. Have to reload soon, I'm down to 4.
Cant get enough RADIOHEAD
Really? Can't wait for it to end.
I came late to Radiohead, but I really like a lot of their music now.
If you've only listened to their later stuff, you should check out some of their earlier work like Pablo Honey and The Bends. It rocks a little more, not quite as atmospheric. I like both, but I think I still prefer the old stuff.
Linux thing. The Linux epoch is 1970-01-01 00:00:00 UTC, which was still 1969 in the states (UTC-8 probably). That's where time began with a value of zero.
Look after the king of R n R please
that is not a comment, it's just whining without rhythm
was thinking that about this comment

Radiohead is what Mr. Bean would sound like if he did a musical (oh, the humanity!)

I thought Drake had only five leaves left (for those who don't know, in packets of Rizla cigarette rolling papers there is, or used to be, a slip of paper inserted when the number of remaining papers reached five).

Agreed. They are missing out on some of the finest music out there.
I find they tend to be Top 40 Radio, meat and potatoes music kind of people.
Nothing wrong with that - we can't all have good taste.
Profoundly incorrect statement. Really, some us are allowed to have extremely diverse musical tastes, and still think Radiohead sucks.
Agreed. They are missing out on some of the finest music out there.
and I almost liked the dirge like/hypnotic song...wasn't too long to annoy.

Agreed, I was reading with this playing in the background. Was sure it was Nick Drake...
I disagree with this sentiment. I didn't understand "Are You Experienced" by Jimi Hendrix, once upon a time.
God I hope I get to be a Radiohead fan one day when I grow up. They're so damn cool.
That you admit to not having grown up yet says it all.

Agreed. Beauty!
Our loss? Nope.
I thought it sounded like Nick Drake as well. Nothing wrong with that.
Black and white close up of basal carcinoma
Friday afternoon ... where?
Obviously you are not familiar with the work of Mr. Bean...
I think they mean a flying disk - aka - "Frisbee". You got to have something to do on a desert island.

Totally agreed. I won't argue with people who don't like them - I get it - but I have really come to appreciate this band.

I know what you mean.
10 by definition-Godlike!
What a disappointment.

Time travel is part of the deal Radiohead made with the devil.

Database glitch. Lots of comments below.

The word you're looking for is "philistines".

OK. I guess I'll probably skip that one.
Same thought just from the intro - confirmed by the 'singing'.
And I'm not averse to off-the-wall music...

POTUS don't need no steenkin' button...
The video was a digital manipulation by the special effects department at The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on NBC for a joke that the late night host delivered during one of his monologs. The video, complete with a set up by Leno was found on the program’s web site.
wtf.

I cannot believe The Numbers is not being played on RP....arguably the strongest track on the album!

Have to agree with you....maybe Bill is waiting to leak it out over time....? Hopefully..
I don't think Yorke is whiny but he did attend the Michael Stipe School Of Deliberately Enunciating Lyrics So That They Cannot Be Understood
He graduated with honors and I still need to get the new Radiohead cd
