Thank You for the info!   I will check it out.
is this a circus?
reminds me of Gogol Bordello! The same passion and gypsy-punk vibes.

It's "Louvre Calling"
Any song with a bit of Hava Nagila gets an upvote from me.

I  Agree!!
Energising music. Sounds a lot like Mano Negra and the (very) early Manu Chao days.

Translation (automatic) to English:

What!  This cannibalistic horde
That hell vomits from its side
Preach murder and carnage
She's covered in your blood
Before your eyes, from the homeland
She murders the children
And meditates a butcher's shop
Worthy of your representatives
Nature conspires with you
Against all conspirators
Everywhere Tyranny expires
Everywhere our flags are victorious
The Stadtholder fled
Abandoning us his ships
And the Terror walks in its wake
Worthy companion of the executioners
The revolution my son
If you have something between your thighs
It’s a duty, not a sacrifice
After two centuries of reprieve
The bastard resurfaces
Royalty is no longer here
But the bourgeoisie replaces it
When it's going well it's only going for a while
The people soften their grimaces
And we call it government
Make the class struggle reign
A questioning my son
If sans-culottes is not fake
It is your duty to apply justice
Wake up, people of brothers
And strike those awful tyrants
Who, without pity for your misery
Make you languish, you, your children
Wake up, I repeat
Lightning arms your arm
She's already growling on their heads
And soon she will crush them
The revolution my son
If you have something between your thighs
It’s a duty, not a sacrifice
A questioning my son
If sans-culottes is not fake

Thank You for the translation!!   GREAT TUNE!!

bump
french flair  :)
I kind of realized there's almost nothing in the RP playlist from Europe in the 1980s and early 1990s, except for songs from the UK and that Nena song.  Good to see there's a few exceptions.  Let's have more vintage Europe music.
EXCELLENT!!
Joe Strummer, cloned as a Frenchman

No he doesn't.  He sounds like Bob Dylan if Dylan could sing.  Why compare?

And whoever is singing needs a beer after that workout.
Btw Bill, The title of the song is 200 Ans d'Hypocrisie and not d'Hypocrosie.

Thanks desde Argentina

Is there something wrong with someone celebrating the appearance of a good French-language song, though?

An amazing band, who's singer left us too young at too early.
Fiddler on the Roof remix?
This song  should be followed by Mano Solo-alo Paris . Same vocal energy, same era, not to mention sad destiny of Helno and Mano. Heroin is bad !
The title should be renamed as "200 ans d'hypocrisie" as song about the heritage of revolution two hundred years after... And as a fact, a scle of incoming which is what she was when the aristocracy had the power. The bourgeoisie takes the place of the king, the profiters of the crisis are the profiters of the holy economic war, the unemployment makes the work harder, all slaves of this system, all taking a look at the others to criticize the differences, populism makes honey with that, the revolution has a new time coming.
I recomend RP to play Lithuanian alternative music group "Antikvariniai Kaspirovskio dantys", http://www.antikvariniaikaspirovskiodantys.lt/https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGiXd_9WQEWSfdCYxM66Tbw/videos

Well, that was a shot of espresso!
I'm liking the zeal and energy on this one, going with a 7 for now!
Thanks for adding to the playlist, BillG, and Long Live RP!!
