Yep, 1st thing that occurred to me was Talking Heads
The song is eclectic but tThe guitars, both bass and lead, are way too good for a 6.1 rating.  Giving it a 7 right off.  If Bill ever creates them, I'd give it a 7.5.
The backing group sound a bit like the Minions

I keep going up in rating. A couple more times and it will probably be a 10.

Yep, definitely sensing some Deep Purple vibes here...
FUCK COLA

I think it tastes great, this Papri Cola!
"All Them Witches" into "WITCH"?  If the music was scary, I'd assume it's Halloween USA.  As it stands, it's just two back-to-back jams with thematic band names and great music (but not similar music).  Well done RP crew!
7>8! Thass good stuff!
Definitely has that 70s Motown/disco vibe going with the bass and drums at the start, followed by world music chanting in the middle, and finishing with a harder edge of 70s rock guitars.  Different music for sure, which is what we're all here for.
Talking heads in a different time zone!love this!

Consider this original, if we (supposedly) all have African roots.
I was fortunate enough to see Witch on the shores of Lake Champlain on a sunny afternoon. Jazz Fest.

Their sound was dramatic and I love it, so glad to hear them on RP and honestly the sound system is better.
That drummer is on fire!

I didn't know "Zamrock" was a thing, but it's cool and I like it. And +1 for cool band name!
i grew up in Zambia and can't believe the witch have a new album, though back then we were more into deep purple and similar. check out the movie with their netherlands tour.
music allways so good

Or maybe Talking Heads meets early Chicago...
Ok, Who Fuck the Cola is going a bit too far, I think.
I had a lot of fun playing in a band in high school in the late 70s  -- just playing songs we liked at parties, etc. This would have been so much fun to play. I can imagine each one of us playing our part -- especially me, jamming out on the guitar.
The background female vocals in every African song always gets me.
Really tasty, really ROCKING, and it sounds freaking fantastic at Standard Orbit on this snowy, bright morn!

from that bandcamp page:
Jagari’s lyrics touch on the struggles entwined in the histories of migrants in Zambia, Angola, the Congo and other nearby countries: “there’s a lot of death, sickness, poverty, and misery,” he says. “The song is lamenting that pitiful situation, that’s the Waile — it’s a word in the Lunda and Luvale language.”

If I were high enough it'd probably be an 8, or 9 even @

Started with 7, and bumped to 8 in seconds, then read the comments. My highness must be just right.

According to chatGBT there is a different translation. "Death does not descriminate". Maybe "waile" is just vocalisation, chatgpt couldn't find the wordhttps://w-i-t-c-h.bandcamp.com...

Ohhweee. Just had to google the lyrics, thought I was hearing an Fxplative.

Totally agree with RP listener Queue's Deep Purple comment.

I'm liking this hard cowbell!

This may be a nice addition to our eclectic RP.  Let's start with a 7.

Edit: just moved down to 5.

Or settle for a "6" as I did - solid but I don't want to hear it regularly. As always appreciate the exposure to music I would never find otherwise - thanks RP!
Damn good.  Tight and dynamic.  Love the percussion.  Hot!

You came to the right place then.
Love it
Zamrock.  New genre for my ears.

Picking up a 70's vibe here.
Going with a 7 rating to start.
