Sounds like commercial country music.  I hated it when I was growing up on a farm in the country, don't want to hear it now.

Sadly not enough.
The intro and ongoing backing sounds to me like a tamed down version of Big Brother & the Holding Company's "Combination of the Two."

New to me, I like it, so I click the Amazon link thinking I'll download the MP3. What comes up is Jody Abboud & the New Song Kids Choir featuring songs such as Amazing Grace and I Praise You Lord. A bit of a jump. All MP3 links give the same result.  Oh well, plenty of CD's (the real Damnations TX I presume) under $1.00 if you can wait a week. BTW, thanks RP... living just a couple of hours away from Austin and I didn't have a clue that a) the group existed or b) it was over 10 years old.

Not a bad comparison. I dig 'em.

{#No} yucky.

Personally speaking, the bass line is okay...but it just kind of creates a very gray picture of nothing in my mind, which makes me bored.
"a bitter taste of semen"??
Actually at the time of this recording, it was two chicks, two dudes. Good on ya, Bill! Now can we hear Black Widow? Nothin like a waltz about burglary! Odyzzeuz wrote:

Apologies. My research was...erm...nonexistent. I defer to all those with superior knowledge.
This is a truly lovely set, Bill: 8:45 am - Damnations TX - Unholy Train 8:41 am - Los Lobos - That Train Don't Stop Here 8:38 am - Phish - Back on the Train 8:35 am - Bo Diddley - You Can't Judge a Book By Looking at the Cover If you'd drop Joe Ely's "Boxcars" in after this, it's perfection!

Holy Indigo Girls, Batman! They're good!
Cowboy Junkies meets Indigo Girls?
Truly uninspired, on all accounts. A three at best.
Indigo Dixie Girl Chicks?
I love this album! Thanks Bill!
This trio played at a friend's wedding reception here in Austin. They're really fun.
Hot, fresh. Love women who kick ass.
