Here we are stuck by this river
You and I underneath a sky
That's ever falling down, down, down
Ever falling down
Through the day as if on an ocean
Waiting here always failing to remember
Why we came, came, came
I wonder why we came

You talk to me as if from a distance
And I reply with impressions chosen
From another time, time, time
From another time

Why in the world would you play songs by someone who was part of glam, new age, new wave, rock, world, and ambient music?

Why the heck not?

I still have my cassette of a station in SF that was changing hands and the weekend in between it was “All Eno Radio” with the DJ back-announcing “that was Brian Eno. And before that, Brian Eno. And you also heard Brian Eno. Starting us off was Brian Eno…”
I knew I knew this song, it's been a while though.  Great to hear it on RP.  It definitely belongs here!  :)
Several years ago, we got to see the 80-year-old Roedelius perform this, with his wife joining him on vocals. It was impossibly beautiful.
Great album and great song
First!
Love every song on this remarkable album....

THANK YOU!!

What a blast from the past...
Nice to hear this one here - I’ve always liked Eno’s vocals
