There will continue to be scattered litigation brush fires around the nation from Mr. Trumpâs allies, but as a practical matter the Supreme Courtâs action puts an end to any prospect that Mr. Trump will win in court what he lost at the polls.

Trump keeps bringing up this demand for âsignature verificationâ in Georgia. There is no way at this stage to match a signature on an absentee ballot envelope to the ballot that came with that envelope. The ballot is separated to preserve the secrecy and sanctity of the ballot. Nothing nefarious about that. So what would be the point of reviewing these signatures again? What remedy would there be if a signature were to be determined suspect? This is all just hocus-pocus. Those that understand the basics of the voting process know this.
Looking forward to this election's results being decided once and for all.
No matter what the outcome is, there's going to be some very pissed off people - including right here on this website - when the final result doesn't go their way.
I'm sure there will be much gloating and laughter. AND it's certain there will be many screams of a stolen election.
'Win' or 'lose', my contract here ends soon after the decisive day when there is no further recourse for the losing side.
LANSING, Mich. â President Donald Trumpâs campaign was handed a unanimous defeat Friday, Dec. 11 at the Michigan Supreme Court, which declined to hear an appeal about how absentee ballots were handled in Detroit as well as other issues.

I moved to Scotland last October from my beloved New Jersey. People laugh at 45 here. They don't want him. They don't understand why he hasn't been shot (their words, not mine). They don't understand what's wrong with America. Steve Schmidt said it brilliantly last night... and he's been a republican strategist for decades. Fuck 45 and all those traitours republicans. I'm waiting for the day lady justice and karma bite them in their fucking asses. And Jim Jordan.. you creep-ass m'r f'r.... your day is coming....
Judging by these 2 tweets, Trump obviously does not believe in justices/judges who follow the law, not make it:
Donald J. Trump@realDonaldTrump·4mIf the Supreme Court shows great Wisdom and Courage, the American People will win perhaps the most important case in history, and our Electoral Process will be respected again!
Donald J. Trump@realDonaldTrump·2mIf the two Senators from Georgia should lose, which would be a horrible thing for our Country, I am the only thing that stands between âPacking the Courtâ (last number heard, 25), and preserving it. I will not, under any circumstances, Pack the Court!

What really saved the Republic from Mr. Trump was a different set of limits on the executive: an informal and unofficial set of institutional norms upheld by federal prosecutors, military officers and state elections officials. You might call these values our âunwritten constitution.â Whatever you call them, they were the decisive factor. .....
